Linda Elland, President of A2Z Meetings & Events, has devoted almost 30 years to the hospitality industry. Elland has worked in guest contact areas and behind the scenes and understands what makes things flow. Most recently Linda was the Vice President of Sales, leading the overall group sales, tour and travel sales, reservations, revenue management, conference services and catering programs for both of the TradeWinds Island Resorts on St. Pete Beach, FL. Before joining the TradeWinds Linda worked as an independent consultant for the hospitality industry. She did contract work for Discover Resorts and opened the Hollywood Casino in Shreveport, LA as a trainer for Norton Training & Consulting. Prior to that, Linda was with Sanibel Harbour Resort & Spa for twelve years and left as director of sales and marketing. South Seas Plantation on Captiva, FL and the Hotel Pontchartain in Detroit, MI contributed 7 years to her early sales career. Throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s, Linda served as an officer or committee chair on the Southwest Florida Chapter of the Hotel Sales and Marketing Association.

I totally go along you! I have often felt that way but nobody really would like to take it as seriously as we do apparently. Excellent blog anyway, I am going to have to stop by more frequently.
